Puppies


From time to time New Rattitude will take in a pregnant female and help her through to the welping of her pups, or will rescue a mother with a new litter in a shelter. These babies will not be available for adoption until they are old enough to get their puppy vaccinations and be spayed or neutered. But who can resist a sneak peek at such puppy cuteness!

Aden is a petite young mama (3 years old) who gave birth to 3 puppies in an Illinois shelter on 5/14/09. Hudson, Banda, and Isla were rescued with their mama at just 2 days old. Hudson is the biggest pup, white with black spots. He was 11 oz on day 4 of his life! Banda is black with a white belly and he was 8.4 oz. on day 4. Isla (female) is black and tan with one white spot on her back and a white belly. She weighed 7.9 oz. at her 4-day weigh-in. Applications for the puppies will be accepted starting 7/09/09.

Georgia Nursery


Tiny mama Jillian gave birth to 4 puppies (1 boy and 3 girls) around May 27. Jillian was so emaciated that by the time New Rattitude got the family from the kill shelter when the pups were about 2 weeks old, she was no longer able to nurse her babies properly. Fortunately, they were pretty healthy and thrived with bottle feeding. Jasper (the male) is white with black. His sisters are Jackie (black with white), Jamie (tri-color; see the tiny "eyebrowns"?), and Jessica (white with just a little black on her head). Mama Jillian weighs only 9 lbs., so her babies are not expected to get very big. Applications will be accepted starting July 22nd, 2009 (at age 8 weeks).
